the story of the game in a nutshell is that some guy named ethan is searching for 8 pages of a book that has to do with a certain \"slender man\" character. as he searches, he encounters various events, all of which are designed to keep him from finding the pages. he eventually makes it to a farmhouse where he finds the farmhouse to be empty, except for a creepy old guy named jonathan. he then finds a book which has information on the slender man, and the \"slender man\" kidnaps him. he finds a map to the farmhouse, and the map has the 8 pages of the book written on it. he then goes to the farmhouse, and he finds the pages. when he goes to the house, the \"slender man\" kidnaps him again. there's a time limit where he has to find the pages again, and he can't look at them. during the night, he manages to get out of his cell, but he is cornered by the \"slender man.\" he has an encounter with the \"sleeper man\" where he sees him and he loses his memory. he starts to lose control of his sanity, and he must search for the pages again, but he is in a wheelchair. he manages to get out of the wheelchair, but then is cornered by the slender man again, but he manages to get away. when he reaches the house, the slender man is in the room, but he manages to escape, but then is trapped in the same room again, and then manages to escape that room, but then finds the same room again. when he gets to the room, he finds out that the pages are gone. he goes to get more pages, and finds that the room is empty, and that the slender man has no memory, but then he finds out that he can't find the pages. he then goes back to the house, but finds that there is something wrong, and the next thing he knows, it's morning, and he is back in the wheelchair, which he climbs out of and goes back to the house. he finds the pages, but then he must leave, and he has to climb over a wall to get out. when he gets outside, he finds that the computer screen is showing pictures of the slender man. he then goes to find jonathan, and he finds out that his real name is ethan, and he is a friend of the slender man.
